MUSE AND NEWS Spring '10
2010-05-25 16:11:17
If winter was supposed to be a time of rest, we missed that memo and we've been too busy to talk about it. Lot's of fun new productions supporting a range of wonderful clients.
To name a few: SIMPLY ORGANIC, Salon Training Video featuring actor extraordinaire John Catron, who, BTW also starred in Kafka's METAMORPHOSIS, recently presented by the fabulous FRANK THEATRE and documented by us, PRESBYTERIAN HOMES called on us to help with their EMPLOYEE RECOGNITION CEREMONY, producing the video and big screen presentation coordination at International Market Square, AAA and ELL Departments of the MPS enlisted our help to showcase the work of award winning author Kao Kalia Yang of Latehomecomers fame as she helped students at Hmong International Academy find their voice, the AMERICAN ACADEMY OF PEDIATRICIANS called on us to produce a series of training sessions on Autism, we produced two series of on-line training videos Transforming Teaching and Learning Through Technology, and Laptops and Health, all providing a window into the classroom and the education excellence found in the MINNEAPOLIS PUBLIC SCHOOLS, but that's not all - we also did our part for Earth Day and building attendance at the Greening Your Business Expo for the REGIONAL CHAMBER OF COMMERCE with a special message from Dave St. Clair, President of the MINNESOTA TWINS that got over 774 hits in 24 hours.
Always pushing the edges of unique uses of technology we're proud to announce the launch of PUPPYCAM - a streaming video site featuring Natalie the very pregnant Pyreneuf.
Cherry blossoms and Apple blossoms in full splendor, stay tuned as are we.

A BIT OF MUSE
We've been focused and productive - with completion of several major projects, the continued launch of PROJECT GREEN SCREEN TM receipt of a business development grant from the Pohlad Family Foundation, and progress on several new initiatives.
In partnership with the Minneapolis Regional Chamber of Commerce and affiliates we launched our new web clip service designed to help businesses and organizations get high quality video presence on the web. As part of the launch we participated in the Bloomington Business Expo, sponsored the NE Chamber Get Acquainted Breakfast at Alsadu, spoke at the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce’s Grow Minnesota! program, and caught some Biz Buzz in the Downtown Journal.
Continuing our work in education we helped the Minneapolis Public Schools welcome families in four languages - Spanish, Hmong, Somali and English. We helped the Givens Foundation for Literature and AAAL promote their Fall Conference and support efforts to close the achievement gap with a video web clip featuring T. Mychael Rambo, Katie Sample and Rosilyn Caroll, and an audio podcast with Dr. Alfred Tatum. And we continued production of our monthly studio show - School Matters, hosted by the magnificent storyteller and dessert chef extraordinaire Rose McGee.
AchieveMpls is teaming up to support learning in and through the arts with a Wallace Foundation Grant. We were selected to produce the story of success building on a foundation of triad of previous work Tableau with Steve Busa , Observational Drawing in Biology and Simple Machines.
In the Health & Wellness realm, we joined the American Academy of Pediatrics in documenting Health Care Homes, their fall conference, producing 10 hours of professional development education, and partnered with Whirl-a-Style to produce 16 on-line training videos to support their products.
Frank Theatre shared "Palace of the End" a riveting and challenging series of three monologues with perspectives on the war in Iraq - we were there to document.
The DFL Education Foundation continued their work bringing national speaker Robert Kuttner to the forum, as well as several other local luminaries to shed light on important politics and policies. Because we were there you can still benefit and share the insights with your networks.
We continue to upgrade our shooting, editing and delivery systems to provide increasingly higher production values for our clients world-wide. We've added high definition format with the SONY XDCam HD accepted as the Gold Standard by the Discovery Channel. This upgrade will allow us to scale our clients content from high definition to the new G3 applications for mobile devices. We used the Cine Alta's real time slow motion capability to capture stunning images of the fire-dancers at ValleyScare.
We've also upgraded our website to Flash. By some counts, designed to make our website more user friendly feedback appreciated - but, if you're not seeing the videos and need help downloading the free software - let us know.
And speaking of networks, we're now on Facebook, Twitter and Linked-In, so in whatever manner you like thanks for connecting. We're always interested in hearing about your successes and challenges and looking forward to productive partnerships continued and new.
